Samsung inks HDTV agreement with content supplier

MANHASSET, N.Y. South Korean electronics supplier Samsung Electronics has announced a partnership with global media company Discovery Communications to acceleration the adoption of high-definition television technology and content.
Samsung will display Discovery content on over 30,000 Samsung HDTVs worldwide. The high-definition content will be shown on liquid crystal display, plasma, rear projection DLP, and SlimFit HDTV CRT TV platforms.
Discovery Communications will contribute selections from high-definition programming across its global networks.
Samsung will demonstrate the partnership at the IFA show in Berlin, Germany, from Sept. 2 through 7.
