Contract manufacturers shift to Mexico

WASHINGTON — APSM Systems said Monday (Nov. 14) it will join with contract manufacturer The Offshore Group to provide manufacturing services in Sonora, Mexico.

Phoenix-based APSM said it will locate at a 27,000-square-feet facility and employ about 100 workers in the first two years of operation.

The facilitywill be located in Guaymas, a port city on Mexico's Pacific coast.

The Offshore Group works with electronics, optics, aerospace and automotive manufacturers to establish low-cost manufacturing facilities in Mexico.
