Intel hands out equipment supplier awards

The Supplier Continuous Quality Improvement (SCQI) award recognizes outstanding commitment to quality and performance excellence, according to Intel (Santa Clara, Calif.). To qualify for SCQI status, suppliers must score at least 95 percent on a report card that assesses performance and ability to meet cost, quality, availability, delivery, technology and responsiveness goals.
The 2005 SCQI winners are the following: Asymtek, a Nordson Co.; Daewon Semiconductor Packaging Industrial Co.; Dainippon Screen Manufacturing Co. Ltd.; Disco Corp.; Hitachi High-Technologies; Hitachi Kokusai Electric Inc.; Kelly Services Inc.; NEC Electronics Corp.; Nikko Materials Co. Ltd.; STATS ChipPAC Ltd.; SUMCO Corp.; Tokyo Electron Ltd.
Intel also announced the 26 companies that will receive Intel's Preferred Quality Supplier (PQS) award for outstanding commitment to quality and performance excellence.
Winners of the PQS award are the following: AceCo Precision Semiconductor Components; Advantest Corp.; Alphasem; Amkor Technology Inc.; Chaun Choung Technology Corp.; Daifuku Co. Ltd.; DEK Printing Machines Ltd.; Delta Design; Enplas Semiconductor Peripheral Corp.; Fidelity Human Resources Services Co.; Fuji Film Electronic Materials; IBM Corp.; ICOS Vision Systems NV; Johnson Controls Inc.; KES Systems and Service; Komatsu Electronic Metals Co. Ltd.; MiTAC International Corp.; Moses Lake Industries (Tama Chemicals); NuFlare Technology Inc.; Rosendin Electric Inc.; Siliconware Precision Industries Co., Ltd.; Siltronic; The Hibbert Group; Thermal Product Solutions, a Unit of SPX Corp.; Tokyo Ohka Kogyo Co., Ltd.; and Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Co.
