Teridian Semi joins Green Grid

MANHASSET, NY — Teridian Semiconductor Corp. said it has joined The Green Grid, a global consortium dedicated to advancing energy efficiency in data centers and business computing ecosystems.

Green Grid provides industry-wide recommendations on best practices, metrics and technologies to improve overall data center and business computing energy efficiency.

Teridian (Irvine, Calif.) provides mixed-signal measurement and communication system-on-chip devices to electricity meter manufacturers. It recently expanded its product portfolio to include ICs that can be used in a variety of energy measurement, control and communication applications, including data server technology.

The Green Grid Board of Directors includes executives from Advanced Micro Devices, APC, Dell, EMC, Hewlett-Packard, IBM, Intel, Microsoft, Rackable Systems and Sun Microsystems.

Green Grid's annual technical forum is scheduled for Feb. 3-4 in San Jose, Calif.
