LONDON — Silicon & Software Systems Ltd. (Dublin, Ireland), a licensor of mixed-signal circuits for consumer products and provider of semiconductor chip design services, has announced that it assisted Siano Mobile Silicon Ltd. in the development of the SMS1XXX family of mobile TV chips.

Siano has been providing various parts in the SMS1XXX family of chips since 2007.

"Siano has used the skilled consulting services and expertise of S3 in developing its SMS1XXX family of mobile TV receiver chips which has assisted us greatly in getting to volume production with first-time-right silicon," said Alon Ironi, CEO of Siano, in a statement issued by S3.

"We have been working in Israel, through our reseller TBS Technologies, providing SoC design services and leading-edge mixed signal IP blocks for some years now and have multiple customers in the territory," said Mike Murray, general manager of mixed-signal IP, S3.
