SAN JOSE, Calif. -- Motorola Inc. has participated in the financing for Zenverge Inc. (Cupertino, Calif.), a developer of advanced media integrated circuits.
Other existing investors, DCM and Norwest Venture Partners, also provided funds. The financing will support production of a family of single-chip media ICs based on the Zenverge Entertainment Nexus (ZEN), a new architecture for digital HD convergence.
Motorola is investing in other firms. Motorola, through its strategic investment arm, Motorola Ventures, this week announced a strategic investment in TuneWiki Ltd., a provider of next-generation social media music players and related applications.
Late last year, Motorola Ventures made an investment in Sensitive Object, a leader in multi-touch anywhere platforms and natural user interface (NUI)
