BOISE, Idaho--Steve Appleton, Micron Technology Inc.'s chairman and chief executive, was injured when his stunt plane crashed in the desert east of Boise, according to the Associated Press on Thursday (July 8).

Appleton was flying with Micron employee Michael Duffy about 5:15 p.m. PST on Thursday when the single-engine plane crashed, according to the report.

Appleton suffered head and back injuries that were not considered life-threatening, according to the report. Duffy's injuries were of similar severity, the report said. Both men left the craft under their own power and were flown to a Boise hospital, it added.
