Avnet launches Motor Control 101

The Avnet Electronics Marketing Americas (EMA) business region of Avnet, Inc. has released its latest technical series of multimedia instructional videos, Motor Control 101.

Design engineers will gain insight into motor control implementation techniques that will extend motor life and improve overall system performance. This training is available free of charge on the Avnet web site.

Narrated by Jim Carver, Avnet microcontroller technology specialist, each chapter in the Motor Control 101 series offers an in-depth look at motor control implementation featuring demonstrations using a Brushless DC (BLDC) motor control kit.

The demonstrations provide real-time solutions to design obstacles such as torque control to prevent damage and tips for restarting stopped motors.

The Technology Presentation series is part of Avnet Electronics Marketing Americas' Centralized Technical Support portfolio, which includes online technical forums and Avnet OnDemand product videos led by technical support experts.
