LONDON — Gordon Neish has been named Vice President of Engineering at Nujira (Cambridge , England) and charged with leading the future development of the company's line of power modulators that Nujira suggests can reduce the energy consumption of cellular base stations and broadcast transmitters by 50 percent.

Neish joins Nujira from Motorola (formerly TTPcom) where he was Project Manager for their Applications Software Group for four years. He will manage a growing team of development engineers working at the company's Cambourne, Cambridge headquarters and will also be active in expanding the team at Nujira's recently opened centre of excellence in Bath.

Nujira currently has Coolteq modules targeted at two primary infrastructure markets – Coolteq-H for WCDMA, LTE and WiMAX Cellular Base Stations and Coolteq-U for Digital Television Broadcast.

According to Tim Haynes, Nujira CEO : "Gordon brings to Nujira outstanding project management and RF engineering skills together with significant experience of bringing complex products to market on time."
