LONDON — The Sorbas eNodeB test software from Signalion GmbH (Dresden, Germany) provides support for the March 2009 release of the 3GPP LTE standard including frequency division duplex (FDD) and time division duplex (TDD), the company said.

"This flexibility enables our customers to use our Sorbas system for both kinds of LTE developments worldwide. That offers cost efficiency and it shortens development time considerably by reusing test frameworks," said Matthias Stege, head of marketing at Signalion.

Signalion is a member of the LTE SAE Field Trial Initiative (LSTI). Such customer trials for LTE mark the final stage in testing the technology before it is commercially rolled out.
