First cut eliminates eight projects

CAIRO, Egypt — The competing teams in the embedded development section of the Imagine Cup were reduced from 20 to 12 during the first day of judging here.
The eight projects falling by the wayside by the wayside were from teams France, India, Indonesia, Japan, Poland, Romania, Russia, and Singapore.
