Silicon Labs files suit against Taiwan's Airoha

LONDON – Mixed-signal and wireless IC vendor Silicon Laboratories Inc. has
announced it has filed a lawsuit against Airoha Technology Corp. in the U.S.
Federal District Court in Austin, Texas, alleging patent infringement.
The lawsuit from Silicon Laboratories (Austin, Texas) alleges that Airoha (Hsinchu, Taiwan) has infringed two patents relating to mixed-signal integrated circuits, specifically United States Patents No. 6,226,506 and No. 6,233,441 with, but not limited to, its frequency modulation receiver products.
"We will seek a permanent injunction against the infringing products," said Nestor Ho, general counsel for Silicon Laboratories, in a statement.
