XMOS co-founder takes COO post at Toumaz

LONDON – Noel Hurley, who was a co-founder of XMOS Semiconductors Ltd. and served as vice president of marketing there, has taken up the position of chief operating officer at Toumaz Technology Ltd.
Toumaz (Abingdon, England) was founded in 2000 by Professor Chris Toumazou, of Imperial College London, to exploit the low-power properties of transistors operating below the threshold region amongst other techniques. The company has been led for much of the time since then by Keith Errey in the role of CEO. The company has focused on applying its low power analog signal techniques to medical applications.
Toumazou is now listed as CEO.
XMOS is a fabless chip company that develops multicore processors designed to execute real-time tasks, DSP and control flow at the same time. Prior to co-founding XMOS (Bristol, England) in July 2005 Hurley was director of processor product marketing at ARM.

Once I had looked into Toumaz Sensium chipset. There power consumption is impressive for wireless health monitoring applications. But they havent taken off well yet. And AFAIK there is no high volume products yet. Hope Noel can help them.

I wonder what this means for XMOS? I have used the XMOS chip and was impressed. I have yet to get it into any production devices as I am looking for floating point and vision support. Will XMOS replace Noel Hurley's spot or just continue on.. Just wondering....
