Acacia, Hynix reach settlement

SAN JOSE, Calif. - Acacia Research Corp. said that its DRAM Technology LLC subsidiary has entered into a settlement agreement with Hynix Semiconductor Inc. regarding patents related to double data rate SDRAM devices.
The settlement agreement resolves litigation that was pending in the Eastern District of Texas. No other details were given.
Acacia Research’s subsidiaries partner with inventors and patent owners, license the patents to corporate users, and share the revenue. Acacia Research’s subsidiaries control over 150 patent portfolios, covering technologies used in a wide variety of industries.
