- Docea Power SAS (Moirans, France) said it will demonstrate a new version of its software product, Aceplorer 2.2, with a library of generic blocks that can be customized by users to implement designs, and support for IEEE Std. 1801-2009, also known as Unified Power Format (UPF) 2.0. Aceplorer is used to model and optimize electronic design power consumption, early in the design cycle, at the architectural level.
A second element of interest is the presentation by Docea and ST-Ericsson, entitled 'How software development can benefit from a platform power model?', on Tuesday, March 15, 2011 at the Exhibition Theatre, DATE Exhibition Floor.
The latest features are:
Jivaro:
- Extension of selectivity features, e.g. selection by properties (thermal parameters, metal layer name or other)
- Adaptation and special parameters for very large netlists in timing flows
Comanche:
- Full support of Spice/Spectre netlists
- Options to compare different extracted netlists under different angles
In parallel, EdXact said its parasitics analysis and netlist reduction technology will be endorsed in a testimonial by ST-Ericsson on optimization of power MOS structures dedicated to energy management ICs on March 15, 2011, at the Exhibition Theatre, DATE Exhibition Floor.
