LONDON – Swedish electronic manufacturing services company PartnerTech AB (Vellinge, Sweden) has informed its customers that the situation in Japan affects parts of the company's supply chain and therefore may cause "disorders" in the supply of certain products.
"About a dozen suppliers are directly affected by the earthquake and subsequent tsunami and accidents," PartnerTech said in a statement issued Friday (March 18). "In the near term it is expected that these suppliers will have difficulties supplying components to PartnerTech, as well as to other companies in the market. The situation in the longer term is difficult to predict at this time."
The situation report said PartnerTech was focused on assessing particular problems and taking measures to mitigate the impact.
