LONDON -- Manufacturing Market Insider, a paid-for newsletter focused on contract manufacturing, has ranked the top 50 electronics manufacturing services based on 2010 revenue in its March edition.

We list the top 20 below. It is notable that there are no European- or Japan-headquartered companies in the top 10.

Probably because most top Japanese companies have their own manufacturing facilities.

I would be interested to see the profit margins of these companies.

This is a very useful information...thanks! How are they ranked, based on what criterions? Is there a summary of performances against those criterions for these companies available? How often this ranking is revised? Yearly?

@Peter Clarke: is there any change in the list from last year or the year before? I would have expected Flextronics to stay on the top (particularly after buying out rival Solectron) but it looks like Hon Hai (FoxConn parent) is holding its own in spite of the negative news in the media.
