SAN JOSE, Calif. - Analog Devices Inc. (ADI) remains the overall global market leader in data converters, according to Databeans Inc.

''ADI boasts the industry’s leading portfolio of ADCs (analog-to-digital converters) and
DACs (digital-to-analog converters), as well as numerous application specific products, across all major application segments,'' according to the firm.

This position helped Analog Devices to increase its share of the global data converters market by 33 percent from $1.07 billion in 2009 to $1.42 billion in global revenue in 2010, according to the firm.

This was good enough for a supplier share of 47.5 percent of the market, or more than doubles the share of its next closest competitor, Texas Instruments Inc. In fact, Analog Devices controlled more of the 2010 supplier share than the next ten suppliers combined, according to Databeans.

Wow, ADI is way ahead of competitions! Its sales is almost half of the market revenue and much larger than the closest competition. Even after TI acquires NS, TI still can come close to ADI a little. What a giant data converter vendor!

ADI is a big leader in data converters area since they are investing all their money on this not like TI or national instruments. Probably they have the highest speed ADC's compared all other companies.
