MStar licenses PowerVR graphics IP

LONDON – Taiwanese digital TV IC vendor MStar Semiconductor Inc. has signed up to use the PowerVR SGX Series5XT graphics processor core from Imagination Technologies Group plc (Kings Langley, England).
MStar (Hsinchu, Taiwan) has signed a multi-use license and plans to use the core in its system-chips targeting consumer electronics markets.
