2/8/2012 12:29 PM EST
SAN FRANCISCO—Nvidia Corp. signed a five-year deal to license patents from memory technology licensor Rambus Inc., the companies said Wednesday (Feb. 8). Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.
Rambus (Sunnyvale, Calif.) said the agreement covers the use of Rambus patented innovations in a broad range of integrated circuit products offered by Nvidia. The two companies have also settled all outstanding claims, including resolution of past use of Rambus’ patented innovations, Rambus said.
"This is an important license agreement as it settles our differences and allows us to move forward with Nvidia, the leader in visual and parallel computing," said Harold Hughes, president and CEO at Rambus, in a statement.
