Taiwan processor firm uses compiler tester from ACE

LONDON – Andes Technology Corp. (Hsinchu, Taiwan), a licensor of 32-bit processor technology, has itself licensed SuperTest, a compiler test and validation suite, from ACE Associated Compiler Experts BV (Amsterdam, The Netherlands).

SuperTest will be used to enhance the validation of Andes' own compilation tools for its proprietary 32-bit architecture. SuperTest can generate millions of tests and is intended for compiler developers and users.

"ACE has been testing compilers for more than 30 years and we are pleased to apply their superior testing infrastructure in the SuperTest product to verify and validate our compilation tools", said Charlie Su, CTO of Andes Technologies, in statement. "While our compilation tools have a good reputation, we would like to further increase the test coverage for our customers and SuperTest is the right tool to secure the excellent quality of our products."

Andes has developed a several CPU core families, ranging from the budget N8 family, the entry-level N9 family, the mid-range N10 and the high-end N12. ACE is a well developer of compilers and customizable compiler platforms and compiler development systems.
