LONDON – The total compensation for Paul Otellini, CEO of Intel Corp. (Santa Clara, Calif.), was $17,491,900 in 2011, up 11.75 percent from the equivalent figure of $15,652,500 in 2010, according to a filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission.
Otellini's basic salary increased 10 percent to $1.1 million in 2011. On top of that he received $7.3 million in stock, $1.8 million in stock options and $6.4 million in a non-equity incentive plan.
The compensation of other company officers is also listed in the SEC filing. Bryant's basic salary went up 46 percent to $720,000 but he received less stock and a smaller amount of non-equity compensation than in 2010

how's this for a headline: intel blesses and approves of wipro in cooperation with a quasi indian governmental agency to use indian spy satellites to track, disrupt, and illegally disqualify American Engineers so that Indian expat win the majority of lucrative IC design jobs at Intel. This in addition to the time proven wipro/Indian-governmental tactic of emailing viruses to American jobs canidiates, and American job recruiters so that they can spy on their computers and disrupt them. In addition to the rate instance where an American engineer is hired by wipro and subjected to the same abusives spying by wipro agents at intel, inclusing breaking into the contractor's cars, steal and breaking their harddrives and usb sticks in their car, and constantly spying on their computer screen while working at intel to disrupt them and prevent them from doing work that is better than an indian expat and firing them if this spying indicates that they are too good at being an IC designer and threatening to indian/wipro domanances at intel.

bravo...Otellini...bravo...if this is what it means to do a good job...then you surely deserve 4 times what you are currently earning per year... convientially deposited in offshore account somewhere in dubai along with a harem of exotic women and a desert mansion... (ok...maybe the last one is an exageration...but if you are going to sellout you should at least get a harem of exotic women and a stash of untracable cash in dubai... )

If Peyton Manning is worth $20 mill/year, it seems to me that Otellini is worth $17Mil!

Let UBS open a good Swiss account. MITT Rommney should give him a quick course on managing taxes. Watch out, he is going to fire 1000s to keep this goody.

The low end of the salary range at Intel is somewhere around $30k. The high end is apparently $17M. The total spread is 566x, which is an excessive number any way you look at it. Unfortunately, this is not an Intel-specific problem, and there is little than can be done at it until shareholders get involved. Don't get me wrong, I have no sympathy for OWS and don't begrudge anyone their success. Most of the time the people who make a lot of money work their tails off, while those that moan about it are 9-5ers who shut off their brain when they get home. From a different perspective Otellini's $17M are far more deserved than John Paulson's $6B.
