Agilent releases aerospace, defense application videos

PARIS - Agilent Technologies said it has produced aerospace and defense application videos that provide information on interference mitigation, switch repeatability and on a tool for instrument control in Excel.

Agilent claimed that the three videos, available now, help achieve program or mission goals by delivering information on Radar/EW MilComms, Satellite and ELINT/SIGINT. The short application videos, Agilent continued, focus on RF, uW and mmW measurements, signal generation, distortion and modulation for wideband comms, OFDM waveforms, phase noise and more.


. Interference Mitigation Through the Use of Wideband Signal Recording and Analysis
This video describes the process to find and analyze the cause of a radio signal that is interfering with a wireless LAN transmitter. This requires the continuous capture of wireless spectrum, tools to search and find possible interferers as well as tools to determine how an interferer may affect the LAN signal..


. Microwave Switch Repeatability Demonstration  
This video compares the repeatability performance of an Agilent microwave switch with a competitor’s offering. Performance is compared by measuring the insertion loss across a frequency range, then comparing the relative difference of each insertion loss measurement.


. Using Command Expert to Control Instruments in Excel
This video introduces Command Expert running as an Excel ad-in. It highlights the capabilities to assist in instrument programming and shows how an instrument programming sequence can be integrated with Excel in order to set system parameters and display the results of measurements.
