SAN FRANSCIO— Mark Murphy, chief financial officer at silicon wafer supplier MEMC Electronic Materials Inc., resigned Tuesday (May 16) to take a job as president of Praxair Inc.'s wholly owned subsidiary, Praxair Surface Technologies, MEMC said.

Brian Wuebbels, most recently vice president and general manager of MEMC's balance of system products business, was named to replace Murphy. Wuebbels has been with MEMC since 2007 and previously held other positions, including vice president of solar wafer manufacturing, MEMC said.

Murphy joined MEMC in 2011 after a stint of Praxair's controller.

Prior to joining MEMC in 2007, Wuebbels was chief financial officer of Honeywell's sensing and controls business. Prior to Honeywell, Wuebbels spent 10 years in various positions at General Electric Co., MEMC said.
