MediaTek signs to use PowerVR for TV chips

LONDON – Fabless chip company MediaTek Inc. (Hsinchu, Taiwan) has signed an additional license with Imagination Technologies Group plc (Kings Langley, England) to use a multicore member of the PowerVR SGX Series5XT graphics processor family for use in the digital television market.
