As of 2010, GlobalFoundries and TSMC already cancelled 32 nm going directly to 28 nm instead (at least in naming). So the 32 nm Godson is probably made by Samsung if after 2010.
MIPs based servers - I remember that died in the late 80s. How much traction they will see in the market is to be seen given the challenges of getting the army of ecosystem developers to drop what they are doing and support another new MIPS ISA.

So ST used to help Loongson get Godson processors made.
Who is making the 32-nm version? Globalfoundries, Samsung, TSMC? And is it strictly bulk, planar CMOS?
It is looking like it could be a Globalfoundries shuffle from 32-nm to 28-nm, but any body that knows for sure is welcome to chime in.

I believe the Godson paper presenter said ST made the 32 nm chip

allwinner is responsible of competing with intel.
you might see a lenovo/dell story evolve again at cpu front.

If he starts selling a lot of servers to China government departments and eventually commercial data centers like Baidu he could do quite well.

Actually, how does it compare to the current ARM server SoCs and comming A57 in terms of perf and perf/watt? Any benchmark numbers?

Samsung still offers 32 nm today:

Lenovo、戴尔马上要换芯;70亿人一起上网,每人300W,谁用得起?不要被李国杰给忽悠啦!他一句真正意图都没有透露。我相信,Linux+龙芯5W,能打败Intel+AMD+Mcrosoft。至于Server市场,一定要倒闭,电信机房大多数都得拆除,将来每一台PC都是Server。
