Forget the naysayers; Windows 8 is doing fine--at least according to Microsoft.

It took a while, but I'm finally learning to adjust to Windows 8. On the plus side, it's very stable and fast.
But I think there is far too much emphasis on tablets these days. Windows 8 was designed for a future world with tablets, but from what I see, everyone I know that has a tablet is doing everything possible to make it look and feel like a laptop.
From covers that prop up the screen to external keyboards, I have to wonder why my colleagues paid so much money for a tablet when a laptop would give them the same look and feel for much less.
