Chuo-Ku, Tokyo—Torex Semiconductor Ltd. has developed the XC6119 series of voltage detectors with an internal release delay circuit in a small package.

The XC6119 voltage detectors are housed in a USPN-4 package (0.9 x 1.2 x 0.4mm) to achieve a size reduction of about 74% over the previous SSOT-24 package (2.1 x 2.0 x h1.1mm).

Using a CMOS process, the XC6119 voltage detectors are capable of achieving a low voltage of 0.7V with a voltage detection range of 0.8V to 5.0V (0.1V increments). They incorporate a delay circuit, as well as a capacitor that can be connected to the delay capacitance pin, allowing any release delay to be set. Two types of output circuits include CMOS and an N-ch open drain.

Applications include power-on reset of microcomputer systems, in battery voltage monitoring circuits, backup power switching circuits, and other applications.
