London—Radiometrix has just
introduced the CTA88 remote control chip application board that provides simple
8-channel digital I/O implementations of
remote control functions, using either the company’s multichannel LMT/LMR (UHF
and VHF band) or single frequency BiM (FM band) wireless radio modules.
The CTA88 chip is an 8 bit address
encoder/decoder for use with license-exempt ISM/SRD band radio modules. It
allows a one-way wireless link set-up for remote control applications,
requiring minimum engineering effort. The TX and RX application boards are designed to easily evaluate the
CTA88 device in simple applications.
The boards consist of the following:
- Two CTA88-000-DIL chips
- CTA88 encoder board
- CTA88 decoder board
- ¼ wavelength monopole or helical antennas
- 4 jumpers for mode configuration
- DIP switches for address and frequency channel
configuration
- 8 opto-isolated digital inputs
- 8 relay outputs
