Samtec's latest high performance power interconnect is a discrete wire cable system intended for space-limited applications. The PowerStrip/15 Cable Assembly (MPSS Series) is available with 2,3,4,6 or 8 dual leaf blade contacts on a narrow 5,00mm (.197") centerline. When mated with Samtec's PowerStrip/25 High Power Terminals (MPT Series), the system has a current carrying capacity of 14.4A per contact at 30°C temperature rise (with 8 positions powered and 14 AWG cable).
The PowerStrip/15 Discrete Wire Cable System is available in double or single-ended assemblies with 14 or 16 AWG discrete wire coax cable and a choice of assembled lengths. It also features a positive latching system for increased unmating force and polarized guide posts that allow for blind mating making it well-suited for rugged or other harsh environments.
