ERNI has
developed an ultra compact 1.27mm pitch single row connector system that
it claims delivers the highest current density on the market. The MiniBridge wire-to-board connector features a high-temperature IDC wire termination and is rated up to 4A per contact. It is available in vertical or right angle terminations with ribbon cable or discrete wire options that are suitable for up to 24 AWG cable. The versatility of the MiniBridge connector system can be obtained as individual components or in a complete cable assembly from ERNI’s ISO-certified facilities.
Intended for lighting applications, the MiniBridge connector is available in neutral white, which discourages shadows that can be caused by black connector bodies in light fixtures. The MiniBridge connectors are fully compatible with higher temperature RoHS-compliant SMT soldering profiles, and their construction incorporates board hold-downs for maximum retention and vibration protection on printed circuit boards. Advanced strain relief is provided for the contact solder joints through built-in locating pegs, which also enable proper placement on printed circuit boards.
The MiniBridge connector system is available in 2, 3, 4, 6, 8, 10, and 12 positions with an air and creepage distance of 0.4mm. Typical pricing starts at $1.97 for a 10-position board mounted connector with a lead time of 4 weeks.
