Smartphone App Reduces Labor Costs And Tightens Control Of Mobile Workforce

PR Newswire

CHICAGO, Oct. 2, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- EPAY Systems is introducing Blueforce Mobile, bringing the convenience of a smartphone app to time and labor management (TLM).

Geared to companies with employees on the go, it is available for both the Android and iPhone devices, transforming them into mobile time clocks.  Blueforce Mobile is available for download on iTunes and will also be available for download on Google™ Play in the very near future for Android devices.

Like a biometric time clock, it integrates seamlessly with EPAY's Blueforce™ TLM time sheet and time card module, a software-as-a-service (SaaS) private cloud based application that provides time and labor management over the Internet. The native developed application is easy to use, flexible, customizable and comes complete with a GPS capture feature that verifies the location to within 10 meters.

"This is a perfect, cost effective solution for companies with a spread out workforce, individual operators or small crews who move from location to location," says Rick Labus, Vice President of Technology at EPAY Systems. "It uses a device and format with which employees already are familiar, making it easy to integrate into the routine."

EPAY Systems called on its 11 years of experience in time and labor management, listening to the wants and needs of its customers to develop the Blueforce Mobile app. Employing user friendly solutions to reduce complexity and increase accuracy, EPAY Systems has become known for working with organizations with distributed workforces in reducing labor costs and improving regulatory compliance for its clients.

The Blueforce Mobile app is the latest in a line of effective solutions to meet the time and labor management requirements for companies of all sizes. These include the Walter™ Biometric Clock, Fonen™ IVR Telephone System and WebPunch PC Systems.

With the Blueforce Mobile app, supervisors or managers can clock the entire crew or individual members in and out. Independent operators can clock themselves in and out. If the GPS indicates that the punch is outside the client configured acceptable distance from the worksite, it will be marked as "unauthorized" and recorded as such in the Blueforce software generated reports, giving managers an alert.

Users receive instant confirmation and management knows immediately whether or not someone is late or absent – in time to replace the employee before the client even notices the problem. If the GPS or cell service is down, the information is held and sent as soon as service is restored.

Management can customize the app to reflect locations, task or work ticket to match each workforce and organization. To make it even more user friendly, a location based drop down menu lists work group (site), task and work ticket.  Help is just a click away. Each screen includes a help option, as well as a way to quickly and easily contact EPAY support.

"This is what our customers have been waiting for," says Labus. "With many workforces moving from site to site during a typical shift, companies need a cost effective, reliable way to manage time and labor."

EPAY Systems will reveal its mobile solution on a live webinar, New Time & Attendance Technologies for Tracking the Mobile Workforce, at 10:30 a.m., Thursday, October 4, 2012.  The webinar will also be recorded and viewable at www.EPAYsystems.com.
