Lancope and Cisco Co-Present Popular University of NetFlow "NetFlow 101 Seminar" in San Diego
Attendees will learn how to leverage flow data for vastly improved network and security operations
PR Newswire
ATLANTA, June 20, 2011
ATLANTA, June 20, 2011/PRNewswire/ -- Lancope, Inc., a leader in flow-based security, network and application performance monitoring, will co-present its next University of NetFlow™ educational seminar with Cisco Systems. Due to popular demand, the NetFlow 101 seminar will take place June 23, 2011, in San Diego, Calif. Lancope Systems Engineer Chris Smithee, and Cisco Product Manager Shiva Reddy Pappula, will teach attendees how to maximize their use of NetFlow to significantly enhance network visibility, availability, performance and security.
NetFlow is a core network monitoring technology built into many Cisco routers and switches, as well as other compatible devices, which automatically and continuously logs all network conversations traveling through the devices. When NetFlow technology is leveraged in combination with enterprise-readyflow collection and analysis tools such as Lancope's StealthWatch® monitoring system, the result is a unique, cost-effective means of increasing network visibility for enhanced security and improved network performance.
"We are very excited to have Cisco, the creator of NetFlow, join us in presenting our popular University of NetFlow seminar," said Chris Smithee, Systems Engineer, Lancope. "Cisco's in-depth knowledge of network infrastructure, combined with Lancope's expertise in NetFlow collection and analysis, is sure to result in a worthwhile experience for attendees."
Lancope's StealthWatch System delivers comprehensive network visibility across physical and virtual environments by leveraging NetFlow from existing routers and switches. Unifying security, network and application performance monitoring in a single platform, StealthWatch eliminates network blind spots, cuts network and security management costs and reduces the time from problem onset to resolution.
Altogether, Lancope will host a series of nearly 30 University of NetFlow seminars in 2011.
