The folks at Lattice Semiconductor have announced that they will be demonstrating a LatticeECP3 FPGA-based SDI (Serial Digital Interface) camera, Acamar’s ACM701, at the China Security Expo 2012 in Beijing, China, from December 3 through December 6. The Lattice booth will be in Hall E1 at location Y13-14.
The ACM701supports 720P and is the first camera product from Acamar equipped with BEYONDVISION, a unique image processing technology that enables high definition, low light performance with good image quality, extended dynamic range and faithful color reproduction under all lighting conditions. The ACM701 is implemented on the low cost, low power LatticeECP3 FPGA with complete HD camera features and functionality.
“We are delighted to partner with Lattice Semiconductor to introduce a unique SDI camera product that takes full advantage of the innovative features of the LatticeECP3 FPGA. We look forward to more collaboration with Lattice in future product development," said Gang Wang, CEO of Acamar.
"The combination of Acamar’s high-quality image processing capabilities and low light performance, and Lattice’s innovative FPGA technology with integrated Tri-rate SDI serializers, creates a unique and compelling product for customers who require high-quality SDI cameras at superior price points," said Kambiz Khalilian, Lattice Strategic Marketing Manager for Industrial Markets.
In the Lattice booth, visitors will be able to discuss their own design requirements with Lattice technical experts and see hands-on demonstrations of new camera solutions that leverage Lattice’s broad portfolio of low density and ultra-low density FPGA devices, including the low cost, low power MachXO2 and LatticeECP3 families. In addition to the ACM701, other demonstrations available will be new WDR (Wide Dynamic Range) image sensor solutions; HD-SDI (Serial Digital Interface) cameras; and MIPI image sensor bridge solutions that enable low cost home security cameras. Building on its HDR-60 development kit ecosystem, Lattice will also feature analytics demos; a unique design solution for remotely locating an image sensor up to 10 meters away from an ISP; and dual image sensor designs for black box car driver recorders.
