Kingston Digital, Inc. announced several portable flash memory-based solutions for thin notebook, tablet and smartphone users. Kingston’s USB flash drives increase the storage capacities of smaller form factor computing devices. Kingston® Wi-Drive™ wireless memory expands tablets and smartphones such as Kindle Fire, Apple® iPad®, iPhone® and iPod touch®.
The DataTraveler SE9 (DTSE9) USB flash has a thin metal case and built-in key ring for attachment to a backpack, briefcase, purse or keychain. It is available in 8GB and 16GB capacities.
The DataTraveler Micro is a small form factor that can be left in tablets, slim notebooks, netbooks or car audio systems without blocking other ports. It is available in 8GB and 16GB capacities.
The Kingston Wi-Drive provides portable, wireless storage for Kindle Fire and Apple devices and will be available in a 64GB capacity. With built-in Wi-Fi, the device allows users to view photos or documents, stream movies and listen to music without relying on Internet access or cloud-based technology. Currently available in 16GB and 32GB capacities, the larger size enhances sharing of photos, videos, music and more.
The Kingston DataTraveler SE9 and DataTraveler Micro are backed by a five-year warranty. Kingston Wi-Drive is backed by a one-year warranty.

Wi-drive seems cute until you realize you have to have a cable. It can share two other hosts, OK but can't you do that with iCloud, dropbox or other techniques?
Maybe it offers greater convenience and ease-of-use, but someone smart is needed to set up the network parameters securely.
