Swissbit offers three new SDRAM memory products with 8GB density modules: the 8GB DDR3 SODIMM, the 8GB DDR3 SO-UDIMM with error correction code (ECC) and the 8 GB registered DIMM. Enhanced DDR3 memory capacity on a small system area enables applications with main memory running on the latest multi-core CPUs.
All module types use the Samsung 4Gb DDR3 components with compact dimensions and lower power consumption compared to 2Gb based solutions. They allow system populations of 16GB on COM or SBC boards and even higher densities on industrial servers. Swissbit claims the low power consumption guarantees reliable operation in systems with critical cooling conditions and supports green environmental initiatives.
The 8GB SODIMMs are available with or without ECC support, running at DDR3-1333. The 8GB registered DIMM has a low profile form factor with a height of only 0.7inch or 17.8mm suitable for blade systems.
The modules are available in both commercial 0°C to +85°C (TCase) and industrial -40°C to +95°C (TCase) temperature grades at PC3-10600 speed grade. The 8GB modules are compliant to the respective JEDEC DDR3 specifications and are supported by the latest DDR3 memory controllers.
