TVS arrays protect portable applications

Multiple individual and families and TVS arrays from ProTek Devices are available with configuration designed to protect Ethernet, USB, smartphone, and other portable applications.

The GBLCSC08CLC is a replacement for multilayered varistors (MLV) an ultra low capacitance – 0.4pF (typical - junction capacitance) TVS array, available only in a bidirectional configuration and rated for 125 watts peak pulse power (8/20 μs surge waveform).

GBLCSCxx and GBLCSCxxC Series is a low capacitance – 1.5pF typical TVS array and are available in unidirectional and bidirectional configurations with standoff voltages of 3, 5 and 8 Volts.

GBLLC03C features an ultra low capacitance of 0.4pF (typical) is available in unidirectional and bidirectional configurations in 3 Volts.

GBLCSC Series and GBLLC03C are rated for 200 watts peak pulse power per line (8/20 μs surge waveform.

The GBLCxxl, GBLCxxCl and GBLCxxLC TVS arrays are a replacement for MLVs, and offer low capacitance of 0.6pF (typical). The GBLCxxLC offers ultra low capacitance of 0.8pF. They are available in unidirectional and bidirectional configurations and rated at 250 watts for an 8/20 μs surge waveform.

GBLCxxl, GBLCxxCl and GBLCxxLC series meet IEC 61000-4-2 (ESD) and IEC 61000-4-4 (EFT) requirements and exceed level 4: handle 10kV contact and 25kV air discharge. They are available in multiple voltages from 3V to 24V and provide ESD protection of > 25kV.

CBLC03ClHP, an ultra low capacitance – 0.6pF (typical) TVS array is available in a bidirectional configuration and is rated at 500 watts for an 8/20 μs surge waveform.

Each device can protect one power or I/O port. At higher operating frequencies or faster edge rates, the TVS arrays resolve typical insertion loss and signal integrity challenges.

The GBLLC03C has a price range of $0.25-$0.35 in quantities of 3,000. The GBLCxxI and GBLCxxCI and GBLC03CIHP series have a price range of $0.40-$0.50 in quantities of 3,000.
