I just heard from the folks at Silicon Labs, who say that their C8051F39x/37x family of small form factor microcontrollers delivers best-in-class temperature sensing accuracy and a high level of analog integration, eliminating the need for external components, further reducing BOM cost and PCB footprint.

They also say that you can easily develop and debug application firmware using the ToolStick370-A-DC daughter card and Silicon Labs' software development tools.

The ToolStick370-A-DC daughter card includes:

• A pair of LEDs and a potentiometer
• A resistor across the C8051F370’s current DAC output pin
• A small prototyping area which provides access to all of the pins of the device (can be used to connect additional hardware to the microcontroller and use the daughter card as a development platform)
