M/A-COM Technology Solutions Inc. has introduced a power amplifier for point-to-point radio applications. The manufacturer describes the MAAP-008924 as a 3-stage, high linearity 1.2 W gallium arsenide (GaAs) power amplifier. Packaged in a 5 mm, 20-Lead PQFN, the amplifier is fully matched to 50 ohms on both the input and output.
Operating between the 10 GHz to 13.3 GHz frequency range, the MAAP-008924, can be used as a power amplifier stage or as a driver stage in high power applications. Fabricated using M/A-COM Tech’s high linearity metal semi-conductor field efficient transistor (MESFET) process, the amplifier features 20 dB Gain and 44 dBm OIP3.
