Spectrum analysis in real time
11/21/2011 9:28 AM EST
The latest MCS real-time spectrum analyzer software from Aaronia AG runs with any operation system such as MAC OS, Linux and Windows and provides real-time remote control with any Spectran spectrum analyzer. It supports an unlimited number of pre-compliance limits displays like EN55011, EN55022 etc. including various seperate limit curves and bar displays, multi window support, a channel and provider display as well as fully customizable skins and look.
The company will start shipping the Spectran V5 version of its handheld real-time spectrum analyzer in 2012 - Thorsten Chmielus, CEO of Aaronia, describes it in the video below. The V5 and V4 series have sensitivity of -170dBm (Hz) at 5.555 GHz.
The V5 has a 200MHz real-time bandwidth, provides real-time streaming and a real-time remote control (GSM, WLAN, USB). It uses patented spectrum analysis without upper lying LO (modulated LO) the 170dBm/Hz noise enables it to analyze even weakest signals.
It has a high resolution TFT display with 800 x 480 pixel resolution and touch screen, an integrated 3D motion sensor (gyro sensor) and 3D magnetic field sensor (compass and position control). It uses high speed USB 2.0 (480K/s) and has a USB slave interface to connect devices such as GSM, WLan, printer, and memory. A Micro SD Slot supports SDHC cards with more than 10MB/s and uses integrated lithium polymer battery with 8000mAh (or 16000mAh) for up to 3 (6) hours run time.
Included is directional tracking and EMC antenna, aluminum carrying case, battery charger and power supply including international adapter set, analyzer software for MAC OS, Linux and Windows with available options including a tracking generator and GPS.
The V5 is the first in the range to provide a Polyphase Filter which offers a dynamic range of 100dB or higher, are very 'sharp' and produce much less side-lobs.
