In February 1999, Analog Devices acquired White Mountain DSP of Nashua, NH and Edinburgh Portable Compilers (EPC) of Edinburgh, Scotland to establish the Analog Devices DSP Development Tools Product Line. White Mountain DSP was the world’s leading supplier of emulators and debugging technology for digital signal processors (DSP). EPC specialized in software compilers for high-performance embedded applications. With it’s own technical support team, product managers, engineering and sales/marketing team, as well as a dedicated manufacturing facility, the newly formed DSP development tools organization delivers an unprecedented level of development tools and support to Analog Devices DSP customers.
