Embedded wireless device server speeds serial-to-Wi-Fi connectivity

Lantronix has launched the xPico Wi-Fi module, a 24x16.5mm embedded wireless device server designed for easy and fast serial-to-Wi-Fi connectivity. The device does not need software development, it comes complete with a "device server application" with full IP stack and a web browser.

Secure 256-bit AES encryption and a rugged design for operation in the extended -40 to +85°C temperature range while supporting a serial data rate of up to 921kbps make this unit suitable for industrial use. The module comes with a 5-year limited warranty.
