The North American Components business of Arrow Electronics and Triad Semiconductor will make Triad's mixed-signal via-configurable array ASICs available through Arrow's North American sales and design centers.

Arrow will provide technical sales and support and product logistics for Triad's mixed-signal ASIC customers. Triad's patent-pending Via Configurable Array (VCA) technology creates ASIC arrays with silicon-proven analog and digital functions, and is claimed to reduce the time, cost and risk associated with full custom layout. Triad's via-only routing is also claimed to significantly reduce engineering effort and fabrication time, resulting in fast-turn prototypes and design changes at minimal cost. This technology is said to speed "time-to-prototype" by more than half a year.
