Carbon Design Systems has added implementation-accurate models of the ARM Cortex-A5 and the ARM Cortex-M4 processors to Carbon IP Exchange, the company's web-based portal with a library of more than 100 system-level models from intellectual property (IP) vendors.

Models of the ARM Cortex-A5 and the ARM Cortex-M4 processors are available through Carbon IP Exchange for designers using SoC Designer Plus.

Carbon IP Exchange is a recently introduced web-based portal with round-the-clock availability where models are generated directly from ARM’s register transfer level (RTL) code using Carbon Model Studio.

Processor models can be used with Carbon’s SoC Designer Plus virtual platform and feature interactive debugging using ARM’s Realview Debugger.

Other features include:
. Semi-hosting,
. Program loading
. Detailed hardware/software profiling.

Availability
Models are available at no charge for existing SoC Designer Plus users.

Pricing
Pricing for other environments starts at $10,000.

Carbon IP Exchange is found at: www.carbonipexchange.com
