Silicon Motion rolls out ruggedized SSD

A family of SSDs with standard SATA/PATA interfaces provide storage solutions ranging from 1 GB to 64 GB. The FerriSSD from Silicon Motion embeds proprietary XtendPE technology for enhanced reliability, encryption security, and low power consumption. Housed in 16-mm x 20-mm MCM BGAs, the ruggedized units operate over temperature ranges as broad as -40ºC to 85ºC.
