Everspin unveils 1-Mb MRAM with Quad SPI interface

A 1-Mb serial MRAM features four serial I/O paths designed to improve read/write speeds and reduce clock cycles. The MR10Q010 with a Quad SPI interface from Everspin Technologies offers up to 104-MHz clock speed with a 52-MB/s read/write bandwidth. Designed for applications that require high-frequency writes of data, the MRAM offers read/write bandwidth comparable to parallel I/O MRAM. It also allows execute-in-place (XIP) operation.

Additionally, the memory features a complete command set for Quad SPI operations, including reads and writes in which address and data are input on all four I/Os to reduce clock cycles. Available in a 16-pin SOIC package that saves 20 pins over parallel interfaces, the part supports low-voltage levels with separate VDDQ for I/O.
