With its connectivity to a HD-SDI High-Definition Serial Digital Interface daughter board that is available as an option, the SVH-1920 offers designers an off-the-shelf panel that supports high resolution running through coax cable for broadcast TV and professional video applications, said Dusty Perryman, director of sales and market for the company's Display Electronics division.
"It represents a cost in the hundreds of dollars as opposed to the thousands you'd spend for a high-end adapter kit for the transition to HD. And you get a system with the power and stability to handle multi-format, graphics-intensive projects combined with the ability to move seamlessly between HD and SD," he said.
The SVH-1920 also features full-screen image expansion of lower resolution, image flip and invert and onscreen PIP functions.
The SVH-1920 is priced at $250 in 1,000-unit quantities. With the HD-SDI module, the product costs $550.
