Using Mango's Pegasus reference design, camera manufacturers will benefit from ObjectVideo OnBoard video content analysis capabilities. Pegasus is designed to help camera manufacturers quickly and easily integrate ObjectVideo's content analysis capabilities into IP cameras.

ObjectVideo OnBoard allows OEMs to embed intelligent video into a wide variety of devices. ObjectVideo OnBoard provides comprehensive capabilities and packages them as embedded firmware that runs on TI's TMS320DM6446, based on DaVinci technology, inside many video network devices.

The Pegasus delivers an open application programming interface (API) with integration of ObjectVideo's analytic software with DaVinci technology. The Pegasus is equipped with a Micron CMOS sensor and is packaged in a very small form factor, enabling integration to a large variety of cameras.

Pegasus supports leading video CODECS such as MPEG4 and H.264 with high resolution capabilities, including the option to extract megapixel JPEG images. Pegasus supports applications such as video streaming, analytics, onboard storage options and USB connectivity.
