PARIS — The Spanish inductive component maker Premo Group has introduced the HCT-1000-SH series, a high current Closed Loop Hall Effect Sensor that is claimed to test and measure accurately current levels up to 1000 Amps.

The HCT-1000-SH sensor, Premo noted, guarantees high accuracy and linearity keeping values at 0.1 percent. The current sensor allows overload capabilities with a measuring range up to ±3000 Amps.

Moreover, the company said the sensor is isolated with plastic housing and meets isolation values higher than 4000 Vac. The supply voltage is ±1515-24 Vdc

With an operating temperature range of -40°C to +85°C, Premo said the HCT-1000-SH sensors are suitable for AC variable speed drives and servo motor drives, battery supplied, Uninterruptible Power Supplies (UPS), static converters for DC motor drives, switched Mode Power Supplies (SMPS), as well as power supplies for welding applications.
