The CX20865 far-field voice-input processor from Conexant integrates an ASR (automatic speech recognition) engine and dual-core 32-bit DSP to bring hands-free voice control to smart TVs and set-top boxes. Combining far-field voice preprocessing algorithms and 24-bit ADCs, the CX20865 adds a differentiated Watch Live and Talk experience to VoIP applications, such as Skype TV, and delivers a greater than 97% ASR hit rate when the TV is playing at high volume.

A microphone array, comprising up to four synchronized ADCs and programmable preamplifiers, provides full-path dynamic range of 106 dB. Each preamplifier is paired with a dedicated bias supply to eliminate crosstalk, while Selective Source Pickup technology maintains speech recognition in the presence of random ambient interference.

The CX20865 comes in a 9x9 BGA package. Prices start at $5.50 each in lots of 100,000.
